It is with deep sadness that the Governors, Principal, staff, pupils, and wider school community of Sacred Heart College, Omagh have learned of the passing of their colleague and friend, Tony McCauley.
Tony served the school with dedication and pride in his role as Building Supervisor. He was a familiar and reassuring presence throughout the school grounds, always willing to assist, offer practical support, and ensure that the environment was well cared for and maintained to a high standard. His reliability and commitment made a meaningful difference to daily school life.
Beyond his professional duties, Tony was widely respected for his honesty, good humour, and straightforward nature. He had a genuine way of connecting with people, whether through a friendly conversation, a word of encouragement, or simply being present to listen when someone needed support. His approachable manner made him well-liked by both colleagues and pupils alike.
Over the years, Tony became an important and valued member of the Sacred Heart College community. He built strong working relationships with staff and developed positive connections with students, earning the respect and appreciation of those around him. His presence contributed not only to the smooth running of the school but also to the sense of community within it.
The school community expresses sincere gratitude for Tony’s years of dedicated service and the positive contribution he made to school life. His work and character left a lasting impression, and he will be remembered with great fondness by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
