The communities of Boyle County and Lincoln County, Kentucky, are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Brynn Bentley, a 16-year-old whose life was tragically taken in a fatal two-vehicle accident Friday evening. The devastating crash occurred around 9:52 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Ashe Road in Lincoln County, leaving family members, friends, classmates, and residents mourning an unimaginable loss.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Brynn was driving a 2018 Mazda 3 and attempting to exit the Dove Cove subdivision when her vehicle collided with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado traveling along U.S. 127. Emergency responders, including the Lincoln County Fire Department and Lincoln County EMS, arrived swiftly at the scene and worked tirelessly to rescue and provide life-saving assistance. Despite their dedicated efforts, Brynn sadly succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Lincoln County Coroner Farris Marcum.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
